Today I start something new. Do you ever feel like there is something that you would like to do, but getting started is the hardest part? Maybe you draw a blank in your mind of what to write or you put off the first step because it is unknown territory. It could be something that you’ve never tried. You might set a goal to start another day, but it turns into procrastination. You might be waiting until you’ve researched it thoroughly, or all of your ducks are in a row to get started. Next thing you know, it’s been days, weeks, maybe even months and you haven’t started. This is exactly how I felt about starting a podcast. I asked my friend to start it with me, and it was a few years before I actually decided to just do it. Start it. I knew it would feel messy and not just so, but I just had to start. I took responsibility instead of saying to myself that I had to wait for someone else to join me. Feels better sometimes to put the blame on circumstances or others for not doing what we should. Right? Once I decided that this is actually my thing. This is up to me! I felt so free and excited to start! If you haven’t listened to my podcast yet, now is the perfect time to check it out! Just look up Seed to Fruit Podcast wherever you listen to podcasts. You might like it!
Anyway, today I start this brand new blog. It will be a space to share, to give resources, and to expound on content that I’ve been learning. It will be a place to encourage you and to hear your thoughts too. Blogging is a beautiful platform to write to me because it reminds me of a journal online. It’s a time capsule of sorts. So join me for an adventure as I say yes, and start today. Maybe procrastination is holding you back from a great thing in your life! What excuses are you telling yourself that stop you from that goal? What will you say yes to, and start today?
